    How it works

Typically 2 to 4 weeks from inquiry to handover.

    1. Inquire about a vehicle

Form in the listing: name, email and message are enough, no registration. We get back to you on working days and clarify first questions.

    2. Viewing on site

We arrange the appointment with the current leaseholder and are there as support. You see the vehicle before you decide.

    3. The bank's credit check

The leasing bank checks your creditworthiness, usually with a salary statement, ID or passport and a debt collection extract. The decision usually takes 1 to 3 days.

    4. Contract in your name

The leasing bank transfers the contract to your name, you sign and take over the keys. The bank sets its processing fee for this, CHF 0 to 540.

    What it costs

Inquiry and viewing cost nothing, and Easy Leasy charges you as the new leaseholder no fee. What applies: the leasing bank's processing fee, CHF 0 to 540 depending on the bank, and the registration at the road traffic office. A down payment to the current leaseholder, if requested, is shown in the listing and is negotiable.

    Common questions about lease takeovers

Who can take over a lease?
Any adult resident in Switzerland with a valid driver's license and sufficient creditworthiness. We check creditworthiness in advance. The leasing bank makes the decision before the takeover.
What happens to the down payment?
The original down payment stays with the contract. Whether and how much you reimburse the current leaseholder is shown in the listing and is negotiable. We recommend recording the amount in the handover agreement. The amount runs through our escrow and is only released once the takeover is complete. More than half of the listings ask for nothing.
    How long does it take?
Typically 2 to 4 weeks. The bank's credit decision usually takes 1 to 3 days, the rest is scheduling, the viewing and sending the contracts.
Why does someone give up their lease?
Usually their circumstances have changed, and ending a lease early is expensive. A takeover is the cheaper way for both sides. You check the condition at the viewing, we are there. Some listings also carry the “Checked” badge: the vehicle was technically inspected by our partners, and what the check covers is described in the listing.
