Find answers to frequently asked questions about Easy Leasy

Easy Leasy is Switzerland's first platform specifically for lease exits. We help leaseholders exit their contracts early. This can be done either through a contract takeover or, soon, through a vehicle sale.

Yes, creating listings is and will remain completely free. Only upon a successful takeover does the current leaseholder pay a success fee of CHF 500. The new leaseholder pays Easy Leasy nothing for the mediation.

In a lease takeover, another person takes over your existing lease contract. The leasing bank checks the creditworthiness of the new leaseholder and, upon approval, transfers the contract. You are then fully released from the contract.

Most Swiss leasing banks allow contract takeovers under certain conditions. Check your contract or ask your bank directly. We're happy to help you clarify this.

Listing is free. Upon successful takeover, the current leaseholder pays Easy Leasy a success fee of CHF 500. For the mediation, the new leaseholder pays Easy Leasy nothing; the leasing bank may charge them a processing fee, between CHF 0 and 540 depending on the bank.

Click 'Create Listing' and register for free. Then enter the vehicle and contract details and upload photos. Your listing will be online and visible to potential takers within minutes.

Interested parties contact us through the contact form on the listing. We review all inquiries and forward serious contacts to you. This way you avoid spam and unserious inquiries – your contact details remain protected.

This option is in development. Soon we'll be able to offer selected vehicles for sale through partner platforms. This gives you two ways out of your lease: contract takeover or vehicle sale.

In principle, any adult with sufficient creditworthiness can take over a lease. The leasing bank checks the credit rating of the interested party before the takeover and then decides on approval.

The entire process typically takes 2-4 weeks. The leasing bank's credit decision usually comes within 1 to 3 days. The rest of the time goes mainly into scheduling, the viewing and sending out the contracts.

The original down payment remains with the contract. Whether and how much the new leaseholder reimburses the previous one is a matter of negotiation between the parties. We recommend clearly defining this in the transfer agreement.

A technical inspection is not mandatory, but recommended. We offer the Technical Check for this: we arrange the inspection appointment at a partner location near you, the appointment takes around 30 minutes and is already paid with the booking. You receive an inspection report as a PDF.

Not all vehicles find a successor immediately. Factors such as brand, term, conditions and mileage play a role. We're working on offering a sales channel soon – this will increase your chances.

For a complete listing you need: leasing contract (for the contract details), vehicle registration document, current photos of the vehicle. The more complete your listing, the higher the chances of serious inquiries.
